About the Role
Are you passionate about gardening, horticulture and working outdoors?
Jardin Design is looking for a fit, motivated and energetic Gardener / Horticulturist to join our growing team in Auckland.
This is more than just mowing lawns. You’ll have the opportunity to work across garden maintenance, planting, garden renovations and landscape design projects, while learning practical horticultural and landscaping skills from an experienced team.
We’re looking for someone who is genuinely interested in developing a career in the gardening and landscape industry and is keen to learn.
What You'll Be Doing
Assisting with the maintenance and installation of garden renovation and landscape designs.
Carrying out hands-on gardening tasks including weeding, pruning, planting, mulching and general garden maintenance.
Assisting with lawn care and garden preparation.
Learning to read and understand garden design plans.
Developing practical knowledge of plant care, soil management and irrigation systems.
Assisting with landscape installation and construction tasks.
Maintaining high standards of workmanship and presentation.
Following all workplace health and safety requirements.
What We're Looking For
A positive attitude, willingness to learn and genuine passion for gardening and the outdoors.
A keen eye for detail and pride in delivering high-quality work.
A strong commitment to health and safety.
Basic knowledge of plant care and horticulture.
Knowledge of safe chemical application would be an advantage.
Reliable, punctual and self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
A current New Zealand driver's licence.
Landscape construction experience would be a strong advantage.
No formal horticulture qualification is required for the right person. We are more interested in your attitude, reliability and willingness to learn.
